According to the 2014 Forbes China Celebrity 100 List, released on May 4, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing ranked No.1 with annual income of 122 million yuan (around S$24.4 million), followed by Hong Kong actor Andy Lau and Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, though his earnings are the highest at 156.5 million yuan. The list was made public by the Chinese edition of Forbes magazine on Sunday. It is the eleventh time Forbes has released such a list, quantifying the overall power and status of 100 Chinese celebrities, based on their income and exposure. The celebrities on the list have excelled at their respective "craft" and made remarkable achievements in the fields of entertainment, sports, culture and media. Hong Kong Cantopop singer and actor Andy Lau ranked second, while Taiwanese singer Jay Chou listed third. 15 celebrities made the list for the first time, nine of which are from the Chinese Mainland, five from Taiwan province and one from Hong Kong.
